Για πρώτη φορά για το Mac Pro υπάρχει η δυνατότητα παραγγελίας 512GB SSD, για ακόμη περισσότερη σταθερότητα και ταχύτητα. Με την δυνατότητα να εγκατασταθούν μέχρι τέσσερα SSD drives εσωτερικά, το νέο Mac Pro μπορεί να προσφέρει εκπληκτική απόδοση και ταχύτητα προσπέλασης, 2 φορές μεγαλύτερη από τα συμβατικά disk drives. To νέο Mac Pro με την επιπλέον Mini Display Port που διαθέτει επιτρέπει στους χρήστες να συνδέουν 2 οθόνες LED Cinema Display, χωρίς την χρήση επιπλέον καρτών ή adaptor, ενώ η θύρα dual-link DVI υποστηρίζει legacy DVI οθόνες με ανάλυση μέχρι 2560 x 1600 pixel.
